At the beginning of July 2006 Bagshot Gymnastics Club (BGC) was dissolved and two new clubs emerged in its place. Former Chair of BGC, Linda Leach, will Head up one club and Josie Gibson, former Treasurer and Secretary of BGC, will Head up the other called Surrey Borders Gymnastics Club.
Josie and Linda remain firm friends, having known each other for twenty years and worked as a successful partnership within BGC for 15 years, but have decided the time is right to operate independently of one another.
The change does not effect any of its existing members directly. On a practical level each club will run their own club championships and be supported by their respective pool of parental volunteers. In time the clubs may also phase in a new gym kits but not in the foreseeable future.
In essence, all classes will run as usual by Linda and Josie, just under two new club names.
